We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Family Group Conference Manager to join our team in Plymouth. This pivotal role within the Qualified Social Work field will focus on facilitating family-led decision-making processes that empower families to develop their own solutions. You will work collaboratively with families, social workers, and other professionals to ensure that children's needs are prioritized while promoting family unity and support.
As a Family Group Conference Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
Coordinating and facilitating family group conferences, ensuring that all relevant stakeholders are involved. Conducting assessments to identify family strengths and challenges, developing action plans that address the needs of children and families. Providing training and support to social workers and other professionals on the family group conference process. Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of family group conferences, making recommendations for improvements. Building strong relationships with families and community organizations to promote engagement and collaboration.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Significant experience in social work, particularly in family support and child protection. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in family group conferencing. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate families and professionals alike.
