Redcar and Cleveland Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Qualified Social Worker (Sr. QSW) to join our Multi-Agency Child Health (MACH) Team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate professional who is committed to improving the lives of children and families within our community. As a Sr. QSW, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding vulnerable children, conducting assessments, and providing support to families in need.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to determine needs and risks. Developing and implementing effective care plans in collaboration with multi-agency partners. Providing supervision and guidance to junior social workers and support staff. Managing a caseload effectively, ensuring timely interventions and follow-ups. Engaging with families, children, and community resources to promote positive outcomes. Participating in team meetings and contributing to service development initiatives.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding. Strong assessment and analytical skills with the ability to make sound judgments. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to teamwork. Proficiency in case management systems and Microsoft Office applications.Additional requirements include a valid driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
