Join our dedicated team in Rochdale as a Qualified Social Worker within the Duty & Assessment Team, where you will play a vital role in safeguarding and supporting vulnerable children and families. You will be responsible for conducting initial assessments, responding to referrals, and ensuring that children’s needs are prioritized. Your expertise will contribute to effective interventions that promote the welfare and safety of children in our community.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting thorough assessments and investigations in line with legislation and best practices. Developing and implementing care plans that address the specific needs of children and families. Collaborating with multi-agency partners to ensure a holistic approach to child welfare. Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with local authority policies. Providing support and guidance to families, empowering them to make positive changes.To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized Social Work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Proven experience in child protection and safeguarding. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound judgments.
