We are seeking a Safeguarding and Independent Reviewing Officer to join our team in a pivotal role within the Qualified Social Work field. As a key player in our safeguarding framework, you will ensure that the welfare of children remains at the forefront of our practices and policies.
In this role, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting independent reviews of child protection plans and care plans, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. Facilitating multi-agency meetings and collaborating with various stakeholders to promote the best outcomes for children and families. Providing expert advice and guidance on safeguarding issues to social workers and other professionals. Monitoring the effectiveness of safeguarding processes and implementing improvements as necessary. Maintaining accurate records and reports to ensure transparency and accountability in all safeguarding practices.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, CSS, or equivalent). Registration with the relevant social work regulatory body. Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding, with a strong understanding of legislation and best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with children, families, and professionals.
