Join our dedicated team in Walsall as a Senior Lead Child Protection Practitioner, where you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding and enhancing the lives of vulnerable children and their families. As a key member of our social work team, you will lead and mentor practitioners, ensuring the delivery of high-quality child protection services. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing strategies that promote the welfare of children and prevent harm.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Leading assessments and interventions to ensure the safety and well-being of children in need. Providing supervision and support to social workers, fostering their professional development. Collaborating with multi-agency teams to create comprehensive care plans. Conducting complex case reviews and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. Engaging with families, children, and community stakeholders to promote positive outcomes.

To be successful in this role, you must hold a relevant social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. Additionally, you should possess:

Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding. Strong leadership and mentoring skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. A deep understanding of legislation and best practices in child welfare.
