We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Practitioner to join our dynamic team in Birmingham, specializing in Children With Disabilities. This role is vital in ensuring that children and their families receive the highest standard of support and intervention. You will play a key role in leading assessments, developing care plans, and providing guidance to junior staff while collaborating with multi-agency partners to promote the welfare of children with disabilities.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and their families to identify needs and appropriate services. Developing and implementing individualized care plans that focus on the best outcomes for children with disabilities. Providing supervision and support to social work staff, ensuring high-quality practice and adherence to relevant legislation. Collaborating with other professionals, including health care providers, educators, and community organizations, to facilitate integrated support services. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in compliance with local and national standards.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Significant experience working with children with disabilities and their families. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in social work.
