We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Practitioner to join our Child Protection/Child in Need (CP/CIN) Team in Folkestone, Kent. In this vital role, you will lead a team of social workers and ensure the delivery of high-quality services to children and families in need of support. Your expertise will be crucial in safeguarding vulnerable children and enhancing their well-being within the community.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing complex casework and providing expert guidance to social work staff. Conducting assessments and developing tailored intervention plans for children and families. Collaborating with multi-agency partners to ensure cohesive service delivery. Mentoring and supervising junior staff, fostering their professional development. Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Significant experience in child protection and child in need work.
