We are seeking a Senior Practitioner to join our Family Help Children in Need (CIN) Team in Birmingham. In this vital role, you will lead and support a dynamic team in delivering high-quality services to vulnerable children and their families, ensuring their safety and well-being.
As a Senior Practitioner, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs of children and families. Developing and implementing effective intervention plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Providing supervision and support to junior social workers and practitioners, fostering their professional development. Maintaining accurate case records and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies. Building strong relationships with families, community resources, and partner agencies to facilitate holistic support.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Significant experience in child protection and family support services. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse families.
