Achieving for Children is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Practitioner to join our Leaving Care / Child in Care Team in Windsor & Maidenhead. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified social worker who is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young people transitioning from care. You will play a crucial role in providing guidance and support to both staff and young people, ensuring the highest standards of care and safeguarding are maintained.
As a Senior Practitioner, you will be responsible for:
Leading and supervising a team of social workers and support staff, providing mentorship and guidance. Carrying out assessments and developing care plans that meet the individual needs of children and young people. Collaborating with multi-agency partners to ensure comprehensive support for children in care and those leaving care. Monitoring and reviewing the progress of children and young people, ensuring their voices are heard and their rights are upheld. Contributing to service development and improvement initiatives within the team.The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Significant experience in child protection and working within a children in care setting. Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with a proven ability to support and develop staff.
