We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Practitioner to join our Safeguarding Team in Peterborough. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified social worker who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals and families. You will play a crucial role in leading safeguarding initiatives, providing expert guidance, and ensuring that best practices are adhered to at all times.
As a Senior Practitioner, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting complex assessments and managing high-risk cases to ensure the safety and well-being of children and adults at risk. Providing supervision and support to junior social workers, enhancing their professional development and practice. Developing and implementing safeguarding plans in collaboration with multi-agency partners. Leading case conferences and contributing to strategic safeguarding initiatives within the community. Staying up-to-date with legislation and safeguarding policies to ensure compliance and best practices.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Significant experience in safeguarding and child protection. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
