Join our dedicated Child Protection team in Suffolk's Forest Heath as a Senior Social Worker. In this pivotal role, you will work collaboratively with families, children, and other professionals to ensure the safety and well-being of vulnerable children in our community. Your expertise will guide assessments, interventions, and support plans that prioritize the best interests of children while empowering families to thrive.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing effective intervention plans in collaboration with multi-agency partners. Providing supervision and support to junior social workers and trainees, fostering their professional development. Maintaining accurate case records and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies. Participating in court proceedings and presenting evidence as required.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to working with families.
