We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Child Protection/Child in Need (CP/CIN) team in Solihull. In this critical role, you will be responsible for safeguarding vulnerable children and families, ensuring their well-being and promoting positive outcomes. You will work collaboratively with various agencies and professionals to assess needs, develop care plans, and provide ongoing support to families in crisis.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing effective intervention plans in collaboration with families and multi-agency teams. Managing a complex caseload, ensuring timely and appropriate responses to safeguarding concerns. Providing supervision and guidance to junior social workers, promoting best practices and professional development. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with legislation and local policies.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
