We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Duty & Assessment Team in Telford & Wrekin. This pivotal role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of vulnerable individuals and families within our community. As a Senior Social Worker, you will lead and support a team of social workers, ensuring high-quality assessments and interventions are delivered effectively and compassionately.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families in need, ensuring that their voices are heard and their needs are prioritized. Providing expert guidance and supervision to junior social workers, fostering their professional development and enhancing team performance. Collaborating with multi-agency partners to develop and implement effective care plans. Managing complex cases and making critical decisions in line with statutory requirements and best practice guidelines. Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in accordance with local policies and procedures.The ideal candidate will possess:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. A minimum of 3 years' post-qualifying experience in child protection or assessment settings. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
