We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Family Help Team in Cambridgeshire. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate professional looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of families and children. As a Senior Social Worker, you will provide high-quality assessments, interventions, and support, ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable children and their families.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing tailored intervention plans in collaboration with families and relevant agencies. Providing supervision and support to junior social workers and trainees, fostering their professional development. Maintaining accurate and timely case records, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and local policies. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to effective partnership working.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work). Registration with Social Work England. Significant experience in child protection and family support work. Strong assessment and intervention skills, with a solid understanding of safeguarding legislation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse families.
