We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Family Help Team in Felixstowe, Suffolk. In this pivotal role, you will work collaboratively with families, children, and other professionals to deliver high-quality social work services that promote the welfare and well-being of vulnerable families. Your expertise will help in assessing needs, developing tailored support plans, and ensuring effective interventions that lead to positive outcomes for children and their families.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of families' needs and risks. Developing, implementing, and reviewing care plans in collaboration with families and other agencies. Providing supervision and support to junior social workers and social work students. Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in accordance with statutory requirements. Participating in multi-agency meetings to advocate for families and ensure coordinated service delivery. Providing training and guidance to colleagues on best practices and emerging issues in social work.The ideal candidate will possess a relevant social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. You should have significant experience in children's social work, particularly in a family support or safeguarding context. Strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a caseload efficiently.
