We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Family Support and Safeguarding team in Barking & Dagenham. This pivotal role involves working with vulnerable families to ensure the safety and well-being of children, while promoting positive family dynamics and resilience. As a Senior Social Worker, you will lead on complex case management, provide expert guidance to junior staff, and collaborate with multi-agency partners to deliver effective interventions.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing tailored support plans to enhance family functioning and child safety. Providing supervision and support to junior social workers and students. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with statutory requirements. Engaging with families, schools, and community resources to facilitate access to services. Participating in safeguarding meetings and contributing to court reports as necessary.To be considered for this role, you must possess a recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England.
