We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Work Manager to lead our Child Protection team in Newcastle. This pivotal role will involve overseeing the delivery of high-quality social work services to ensure the safety and well-being of children and families in our community. You will be responsible for managing a team of social workers, providing guidance, support, and supervision to enhance their professional development and effectiveness.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading and managing the Child Protection team, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. Conducting regular team meetings to review cases, share best practices, and address challenges. Collaborating with external agencies and stakeholders to promote integrated services for children and families. Monitoring and evaluating service delivery to ensure high standards and continuous improvement. Providing expert advice and support on complex cases to social workers and other professionals.The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding. Proven leadership and management skills within a social work context. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders. In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in child protection.Additional requirements for this role include a valid driving license and the ability to travel as needed.
