Haringey Council is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker specializing in Assessment & Safeguarding to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable individuals and families within our community. Your expertise will contribute to the assessment of needs, the development of care plans, and the implementation of safeguarding measures to protect those at risk.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing, implementing, and reviewing individualized care plans in collaboration with service users and relevant stakeholders. Working closely with multi-agency partners to ensure effective safeguarding interventions. Maintaining accurate and timely case records in accordance with local and national guidelines. Providing support and guidance to families, empowering them to make informed decisions.To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience in child protection, safeguarding, and assessment processes. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.Additional requirements include a commitment to continuous professional development and a proactive approach to safeguarding practices.
