Are you a passionate and dedicated Social Worker looking to make a positive impact in the lives of children and families? Knowsley Borough Council is seeking a qualified Social Worker to join our Children Looked After team. In this rewarding role, you will work collaboratively with children, families, and multi-agency partners to ensure the best outcomes for our looked-after children.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Assessing the needs of children and families and developing tailored care plans. Conducting regular reviews of care plans and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. Building trusting relationships with children, families, and stakeholders to promote positive change. Providing support and guidance to foster carers and adoptive families. Participating in court proceedings and providing expert testimony when required. Maintaining accurate and timely records in accordance with agency policies.

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized Social Work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Proven experience working with children and families, particularly in a looked-after context. Strong assessment and analytical skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively within a team and manage a caseload.
