We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our Children Support and Safeguarding team in Northampton. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who is passionate about improving the lives of vulnerable children and their families. As a Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in assessing needs, developing support plans, and ensuring the safety and well-being of children in your care.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing tailored support plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Providing ongoing support and guidance to families, helping them navigate challenges and access resources. Working closely with schools, healthcare providers, and community organizations to ensure a holistic approach to child welfare. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in compliance with legal and organizational standards. Participating in team meetings, case reviews, and training sessions to continually enhance your skills and knowledge.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Experience working in children’s services, particularly in safeguarding and support roles. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
