We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Social Worker specializing in Children with Disabilities to join our dynamic team in Newham. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of children and their families, ensuring they receive the support and services they need to thrive. As a Social Worker in this specialized area, you will work collaboratively with families, schools, and other professionals to promote the well-being and development of children with disabilities.

Key responsibilities include:

Conducting assessments and developing tailored care plans for children with disabilities. Providing direct support and guidance to children and their families, helping them navigate available resources and services. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including educators, healthcare providers, and community organizations. Advocating for the rights and needs of children with disabilities within various settings. Monitoring and reviewing progress, adjusting care plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England or equivalent professional body. Experience working with children with disabilities, preferably in a social work context. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families. Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in social work.
