Derbyshire County Council is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our Children in Care (CIC) team. This pivotal role involves working collaboratively with children, families, and other professionals to ensure the safety and well-being of children in care. As a Social Worker, you will play a vital role in making a positive difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments to identify the needs of children and families. Developing and implementing care plans in partnership with children, families, and external agencies. Providing ongoing support and advocacy for children in care, ensuring their voices are heard. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in compliance with statutory requirements. Participating in multi-agency meetings to promote effective collaboration and coordination of services.To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Demonstrable experience in working with children and families, particularly in a statutory setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
