The City of Doncaster is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our Help & Protection team in the East region. This role is crucial in safeguarding vulnerable individuals and families, ensuring their well-being, and promoting positive outcomes in our community. As a Social Worker, you will work collaboratively with various agencies and stakeholders to deliver high-quality social care services.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting assessments to determine the needs of children and families. Developing and implementing care plans that prioritize safety and well-being. Providing support and guidance to families in crisis, facilitating access to resources and services. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation. Participating in court proceedings and providing expert testimony as required.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work). Registration with Social Work England. Proven experience in child protection and family support services. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse populations. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
