We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our Fostering team in Devon. In this vital role, you will work collaboratively with children, families, and foster carers to ensure the best outcomes for children in care. You will be responsible for assessing the needs of children and young people, providing support to foster families, and promoting positive relationships to enhance the well-being of those in your care.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments and writing reports to inform care plans. Supporting and supervising foster carers to ensure high-quality care is provided. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, including health and education professionals. Facilitating training and development opportunities for foster families. Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience in child protection and fostering services. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
