Join our dedicated Kinship Fostering Team in Shropshire as a Social Worker and make a significant impact in the lives of children and families. In this rewarding role, you will work closely with kinship carers and their families to provide support, guidance, and advocacy, ensuring the well-being and stability of children placed in their care. You will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing care plans, and facilitating training and support groups for kinship carers.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of kinship carers to evaluate their suitability and support needs. Developing and implementing tailored support plans for children and their families. Providing ongoing supervision and support to kinship families, ensuring compliance with safeguarding policies. Collaborating with other professionals and agencies to coordinate services and resources for families. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Experience in child protection, fostering, or family support services. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with a clear understanding of safeguarding issues.
