Ealing Council is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our Kinship Team. This role is pivotal in supporting children and families within our community. As a Social Worker in the Kinship Team, you will work collaboratively with kinship carers, children, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for children placed in kinship care. Your expertise will help navigate the complexities of child welfare, providing guidance and support to families in need.

Key responsibilities include:

Conducting assessments of kinship carers to determine suitability and support needs. Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with families and external agencies. Providing ongoing support and supervision to kinship families, ensuring adherence to safeguarding policies. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to case discussions.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work). Current registration with Social Work England. Experience in child protection and kinship care settings. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with families and stakeholders. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively.
