Join our dedicated team as a Social Worker specializing in Looked After Children (LAC) and Children in Care (CIC) in beautiful Somerset. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled professional to provide high-quality support to vulnerable children and their families. In this role, you will work collaboratively with local authorities, schools, and community organizations to ensure the wellbeing and development of children in care.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting assessments of children's needs and developing tailored care plans. Building trusting relationships with children, families, and foster carers. Advocating for the rights and needs of children in care, ensuring they receive appropriate services. Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to promote best practices and holistic care. Monitoring and reviewing children's progress and care plans, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, CQSW, or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Experience working with children and families, particularly in LAC/CIC settings. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and stakeholders. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
