Are you a passionate and dedicated Social Worker looking to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals and families? Waltham Forest is seeking a qualified Social Worker to join our dynamic Safeguarding team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of protecting and enhancing the welfare of children and adults at risk, working collaboratively with various stakeholders to ensure the best outcomes for those we serve.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs of children and families. Developing and implementing tailored care plans that promote safety and well-being. Working closely with multi-agency partners to coordinate interventions and support services. Managing a caseload effectively, ensuring timely and appropriate responses to safeguarding concerns. Participating in court proceedings and providing expert testimony as required. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in line with statutory requirements.

To be considered for this role, you must possess a recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work) and be registered with Social Work England. Additionally, you should have:

Experience working within a safeguarding context, particularly with children and families. Strong assessment and analytical skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. A commitment to anti-oppressive practice and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by diverse communities.
