Are you a passionate and dedicated Social Worker looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of families and children? Join our Assessment & Staying Together Team in Staffordshire as a Senior Practitioner. In this pivotal role, you will work collaboratively to assess family needs and develop effective interventions, ensuring the safety and well-being of children while promoting family unity.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify strengths and areas for improvement. Developing and implementing tailored support plans that prioritize the needs of children and facilitate family preservation. Providing expert guidance and support to junior staff and social work students, fostering their professional development. Working closely with partner agencies to coordinate services and resources effectively. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with local and national standards.

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Significant experience in child protection and family support, preferably within a local authority setting. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in complex situations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to collaborative working.
