We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker / Senior Practitioner (Children’s Services) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, ensuring their needs are met through effective support and intervention. As a Senior Practitioner, you will also provide mentorship to junior staff, guiding them in best practices and enhancing their professional development.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and reports. Participating in multi-agency meetings to ensure cohesive support for children. Providing supervision and support to less experienced social workers.To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work or equivalent). Registration with the relevant professional body (e.g., Social Work England). Significant experience in children's social work, including direct practice. Strong knowledge of child protection legislation and safeguarding practices.
