Join our dedicated team as a Social Worker / Senior Practitioner in the Duty & Assessment Team in Staffordshire. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for conducting assessments and delivering high-quality social work services to children and families in need. You will work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to ensure the best outcomes for vulnerable individuals, while also providing guidance and support to junior practitioners within the team.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families, identifying needs and risks. Developing and implementing effective intervention plans to support families. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in compliance with legislation and policy. Participating in team meetings, supervision, and training to enhance service delivery. Providing support and mentorship to newly qualified social workers and students.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Proven experience in child protection and safeguarding. Strong analytical and assessment skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse communities.
