Are you an experienced social worker looking to make a significant impact in the lives of children and families? South Gloucestershire Council is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Advance Social Worker to join our Long-Term Child Protection team. In this role, you will be responsible for safeguarding vulnerable children and ensuring their well-being while working closely with families to promote positive outcomes.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs of children and families. Developing and implementing effective intervention plans in collaboration with multi-agency partners. Managing a caseload of complex cases, ensuring timely and appropriate responses to safeguarding concerns. Providing support and guidance to less experienced social workers and contributing to their professional development. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with statutory requirements and best practice guidelines.To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding. Strong analytical skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
