We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Subject Access Officer with a background in Qualified Social Work to join our team in Durham. As a Subject Access Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with data protection laws and regulations, particularly in relation to subject access requests.

Key responsibilities and duties:

Managing and responding to subject access requests in a timely and efficient manner Reviewing and redacting sensitive information in accordance with data protection guidelines Collaborating with internal teams to gather necessary information for subject access requests Providing guidance and support to colleagues on data protection best practices Keeping up-to-date with developments in data protection legislation and ensuring organizational compliance

Essential qualifications and skills:

Qualified Social Worker (QSW) certification Proven experience in handling subject access requests and data protection compliance Strong understanding of data protection laws, including GDPR Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently and prioritize workload effectively
