Join our dedicated Family Safeguarding Team in Surrey as a Qualified Social Worker (QSW) on a maternity cover contract. We are seeking a passionate and skilled professional to support vulnerable families and ensure the safety and well-being of children in our community. Your expertise will play a critical role in delivering high-quality social care services while working collaboratively with families, partner agencies, and stakeholders.
As a Qualified Social Worker, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children's needs and risks, ensuring that their welfare is paramount. Developing and implementing effective care plans in partnership with families and other professionals. Providing support and guidance to families to promote positive parenting and improve family dynamics. Monitoring and reviewing cases to ensure ongoing safety and well-being of children. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in line with statutory requirements.To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience in child protection and safeguarding, preferably within a family support setting. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound judgments.
