Join our dedicated Family Safeguarding Team in Reigate as a Qualified Social Worker (QSW) and make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and families in Surrey. In this vital role, you will work collaboratively with families, multi-agency partners, and colleagues to ensure the safety and well-being of children. Your expertise will contribute to the development and implementation of effective safeguarding plans, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive in a safe environment.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing tailored intervention plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with local authority policies. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to child protection conferences. Providing support and guidance to families, empowering them to make positive changes.The ideal candidate will possess a relevant social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent), along with current registration with Social Work England. You should have substantial experience in child protection and safeguarding, demonstrating a thorough understanding of legislation and best practices in social work. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as the ability to work under pressure and manage a varied caseload effectively.
