Dudley Council is seeking a Team Manager for our Children with Disabilities Team. In this pivotal role, you will lead a dynamic team of social workers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality support and services to children and families in need. Your leadership will be instrumental in promoting best practices and driving positive outcomes for vulnerable children.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Providing effective leadership and management to a team of social workers, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and best practice guidelines. Overseeing the assessment and intervention processes for children with disabilities, developing tailored support plans in collaboration with families. Promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team. Collaborating with multi-agency partners to ensure holistic support for children and their families. Managing budgets and resources effectively to maximize service delivery.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Significant experience in children's social work, particularly with children with disabilities. Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
