Are you a dedicated and passionate social work professional looking to take the next step in your career? We are seeking an experienced Team Manager for our Looked After Children (LAC) and Children in Care (CIC) team in Liverpool. In this pivotal role, you will lead a dynamic team of social workers and support staff, ensuring the highest standards of care and support for vulnerable children and their families.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Providing effective leadership and management to a team of social workers, promoting a culture of continuous improvement. Overseeing the delivery of high-quality assessments and interventions for children in care. Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and best practices. Collaborating with external agencies and stakeholders to enhance service delivery. Supporting the professional development of your team through supervision, training, and mentoring.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work, CQSW, DipSW). Current registration with Social Work England. Significant post-qualifying experience in child protection and looked after children services. Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to working collaboratively.
