In this pivotal role, you will lead a dynamic team of social workers, providing guidance and support to ensure the safety and well-being of vulnerable children and families in our community.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Safeguarding Team, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and best practices. Managing and supporting staff performance, providing supervision, training, and development opportunities. Collaborating with partner agencies and stakeholders to promote effective safeguarding strategies. Assessing and managing complex cases, ensuring high-quality interventions that prioritize the needs of children and families. Contributing to the continuous improvement of safeguarding services through data analysis and feedback mechanisms.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding, preferably in a management or supervisory role. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
