Are you a passionate and dedicated social work professional looking to make a significant impact in your community? The Isle of Wight Council is seeking a motivated Team Manager to lead our Support and Protection team. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a dynamic and committed team focused on safeguarding vulnerable individuals and families, ensuring their well-being and promoting positive outcomes.

As the Team Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Support and Protection team. Your key responsibilities will include:

Leading, managing, and developing a team of qualified social workers and support staff. Ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and best practices in safeguarding. Conducting regular supervision and performance appraisals to foster professional growth. Collaborating with multi-agency partners to deliver effective support services. Managing complex cases and providing expert guidance on intervention strategies.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding practices. Strong leadership and management capabilities, with a proven track record of team development. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders. Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and local authority policies.
