We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker for the Wigan - AP - Duty Team. This role is crucial in supporting vulnerable children and families within our community. As a member of our dynamic team, you will be responsible for assessing needs, developing care plans, and providing ongoing support to ensure the safety and well-being of children in our care.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families in need of support. Developing and implementing effective care plans tailored to individual circumstances. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies to ensure holistic support. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation. Providing guidance and support to families, helping them navigate challenges and access resources. Participating in court proceedings and providing evidence when required.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (degree or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children and families. Ability to work under pressure and manage a diverse caseload.
