We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Deputy Manager for our Care Leaver Hub in Wokingham. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional in the Qualified Social Work field to make a significant impact on the lives of young care leavers. As a Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Hub Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the service, ensuring that we provide high-quality support and guidance to young people transitioning from care to independence.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Supporting the Hub Manager in the strategic development and operational management of the Care Leaver Hub. Leading and supervising a team of social workers and support staff, providing guidance and support to ensure best practices. Developing and implementing personalized support plans for young care leavers, focusing on their individual needs and aspirations. Building strong relationships with external agencies, local authorities, and community organizations to enhance service delivery. Monitoring and evaluating service outcomes, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent). Current Social Work England registration. Significant experience in social work, particularly with care leavers or vulnerable young people. Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and inspire others.
