We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Practitioner to join our Child Protection Team in Wolverhampton. This pivotal role requires a passionate individual who is committed to safeguarding children and enhancing their well-being. As a Lead Practitioner, you will provide expert guidance and support to social work staff, ensuring that the highest standards of practice are maintained in the assessment and intervention processes.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Leading complex case management and ensuring effective multi-agency collaboration. Providing supervision and mentoring to social workers, enhancing their professional development. Conducting assessments and developing intervention plans that prioritize the safety and welfare of children. Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures. Engaging with families and communities to promote positive outcomes and effective support systems.

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Current Social Work England registration. Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
