Join our dynamic team in Wolverhampton as a Team Manager within the Children and Young People Team. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced social work professional to lead and inspire our team in providing high-quality support to children, young people, and their families. As a Team Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the team, ensuring that all statutory and regulatory requirements are met. Your key responsibilities will include:
Leading, managing, and developing a team of social workers and support staff. Providing supervision and support to team members, promoting professional development and best practices. Managing complex casework, ensuring effective assessment, planning, and intervention strategies. Collaborating with external agencies and stakeholders to ensure a holistic approach to service delivery. Monitoring and evaluating the performance of the team, implementing improvements as necessary.The ideal candidate will possess essential qualifications and skills including:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Significant experience in children and young people’s social work, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation and frameworks. Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
