Join our dedicated team in Worcestershire as a Social Worker within the Look After Team, where you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people in care. You will work collaboratively with families, schools, and other professionals to ensure the safety and well-being of vulnerable children. Your expertise will be instrumental in assessing needs, creating care plans, and implementing interventions that promote positive outcomes for those in our care.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and reviewing care plans in partnership with children, families, and other stakeholders. Providing direct support and guidance to children and foster carers to facilitate stability and growth. Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of casework and interventions. Attending court hearings and contributing to legal proceedings as required.To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., DipSW, BA in Social Work, MA in Social Work). Current Social Work England registration. Experience in child protection and working with children in care. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children and families.
