We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Team Manager to join our dynamic social work team in Gateshead. In this pivotal role, you will support the Team Manager in delivering high-quality social work services to children and families, ensuring their needs are met through effective assessment and intervention strategies. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, promoting best practices and maintaining a child-centered approach.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Assisting in the management and supervision of social work staff, providing guidance and support to ensure compliance with statutory requirements. Conducting regular case reviews, facilitating team meetings, and contributing to the development of service delivery plans. Overseeing the allocation of cases and ensuring timely and effective service delivery. Engaging with families and external agencies to promote positive outcomes and safeguard vulnerable children. Contributing to the training and professional development of team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.To be considered for this role, candidates must possess a recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. We are looking for individuals with strong leadership capabilities and a sound understanding of child protection legislation and frameworks.
