Join our dedicated team in Birmingham as a Senior Qualified Social Worker (QSW) in the Children in Care (CIC) Team. We are looking for an experienced professional who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of vulnerable children and families. In this role, you will provide high-quality social work services, ensuring the safety and well-being of children in care while promoting their development and permanency.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments and developing care plans for children in care. Working collaboratively with families, external agencies, and multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive outcomes. Providing support and guidance to less experienced social workers and students. Maintaining accurate and timely case records in accordance with statutory requirements. Participating in court proceedings and presenting evidence as necessary.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Current Social Work England registration. Extensive experience in children’s social work, particularly in a CIC setting. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, statutory guidance, and best practices.
