Join our dedicated Safeguarding Team in Peterborough as a Children’s Social Worker, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and families in our community. In this rewarding position, you will be responsible for assessing the needs of children, developing care plans, and providing support to families while working collaboratively with various agencies to promote safeguarding practices.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify risks and needs of children and families. Developing and implementing effective intervention plans in collaboration with multi-agency teams. Maintaining accurate and timely case records and documentation in line with statutory requirements. Engaging with children and families to build trusting relationships and empower them to make positive changes. Participating in court proceedings and providing expert testimony as required.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent). Current Social Work England registration. Experience in children's social work, particularly in safeguarding and child protection. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound judgments under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to working collaboratively.
