In this vital role, you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the safety and well-being of children at risk, providing expert guidance and support to both colleagues and families.
As a Children’s Advanced Practitioner, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children's needs and risks, ensuring that all safeguarding measures are in place. Leading complex case management and providing oversight to social workers in the team. Developing and implementing child protection plans in partnership with families and external agencies. Providing training, mentoring, and support to less experienced staff, fostering a culture of learning and development. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to strategic planning around safeguarding practices.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Current Social Work England registration. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in children’s social work, with a focus on safeguarding. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
