We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Children's HOS to join our team in the London Borough of Haringey. As a key member of our social work department, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing a team of social workers to ensure the well-being and safety of vulnerable children and families in our community.

Key responsibilities and duties:

Oversee and manage a team of social workers, providing guidance, support, and supervision to ensure high-quality service delivery. Develop and implement strategies to safeguard children at risk of harm, working closely with partner agencies and stakeholders. Conduct assessments and reviews to identify the needs of children and families, and develop appropriate care plans in line with statutory regulations. Represent the department in meetings, court hearings, and other relevant forums, advocating for the best interests of children and families. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of services, implementing improvements and best practices to enhance outcomes for children and families.

Essential qualifications and skills:

Qualified Social Worker with HCPC registration. Significant experience working in a children's social work setting, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation and policies. Demonstrated leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve excellence. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and professionals. Strong analytical and decision-making abilities, with a commitment to upholding ethical standards and promoting equality and diversity.
