We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Children's HOS to join our team in the London Borough of Haringey. As a key member of our social work department, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing a team of social workers to ensure the well-being and safety of vulnerable children and families in our community.
Key responsibilities and duties:
- Oversee and manage a team of social workers, providing guidance, support, and supervision to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Develop and implement strategies to safeguard children at risk of harm, working closely with partner agencies and stakeholders.
- Conduct assessments and reviews to identify the needs of children and families, and develop appropriate care plans in line with statutory regulations.
- Represent the department in meetings, court hearings, and other relevant forums, advocating for the best interests of children and families.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of services, implementing improvements and best practices to enhance outcomes for children and families.
Essential qualifications and skills:
- Qualified Social Worker with HCPC registration.
- Significant experience working in a children's social work setting, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation and policies.
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve excellence.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and professionals.
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities, with a commitment to upholding ethical standards and promoting equality and diversity.
